Every program hosted by Artists 4 Israel has been conceived, created and run by an artist or collective.
After conflict, we make communities beautiful again. Artists 4 Israel bringsart, healing and protection to communities and people ravished by war.
We awaken avant-garde artists in underrepresented art forms to the power of their work to create social change, and we cover the scars on bodies, objects and minds in communities in need in Israel and around the world.
We uplift all people, regardless of race, religion, gender or national origin, to overcome the struggles of living in crises with permanent and direct quality of life changes through our arts and culture based humanitarian aid and social service projects.
All our work must meet two criteria:
- Materially and directly benefit Israeli communities in need
- Express Israel's story in honesty and clarity
Executive Director: CRAIG DERSHOWITZ
Craig Dershowitz is the Executive Director of Artists 4 Israel, a curator, creative strategist and expert speaker on contemporary art and modern Israel.
Mr. Dershowitz has worked with over 500 artists representing more than 20 countries on 4 continents towards benefiting the land he loves, Israel. For his work, he has been honored by the Mayor of Netanya with a citywide concert, painted live at the Knesset with Speaker of the Knesset Yuli Edelstein, been presented the Shomer Yisrael award, been honored by Prime Minister Netanyahu and has had the Ministry of Public Diplomacy say of his unorthodox but successful advocacy approach, Craig is “changing our perceptions of PR and having an impact on our policy and style. He is one of, if not the most, successful advocates for Israel.”
His most proud accomplishment was receiving the key to the city of Sderot for his humanitarian work during wartime.
Heavily tattooed and unapologetically honest, Craig is an unusual but always interesting speaker with a unique background. He was the Creative Director for an internationally distributed graffiti magazine as well as a special designer for Pony Sneakers, American Eagle and Ryz.
In the private sector, Mr. Dershowitz worked as a special projects manager at Morgan Stanley in the anti-money laundering and terrorist financing prevention group. He has always been dedicated to fighting the enemies of freedom and has a vicious commitment to his land and his people.
Proud of his Brooklyn heritage, he is, nevertheless, a recent transplant to LA where he splits his time between there and Israel.
